Tons of Free Stuff and Hundreds of Money-Saving Tips
It is now a known fact that gazing at objects located within 2 feet of your eyes (such as a computer
monitor or a book) for prolonged periods of time can increase myopia (near-sightedness) as well as
astigmatism, both causing distance vision (driving, for example) to deteriorate.
To slow down this phenomenon, eye doctors recommend the use of the 20/20 Rule.
Whenever you are looking at something that is within 2 feet of your eyes, you should look faraway (20
feet, if possible) for 20 seconds, before focusing on a near object again.
The 20/20 Rule Timer above will help you achieve this goal while you are working on a computer.
Simply press "Begin Countdown".
After 20 minutes, a new browser window will open alerting you to stare at 20 feet for 20 seconds.
Upon returning to your computer, press "Begin Countdown" again to restart the timer.
In order for this application to function properly, you must:
1. leave this browser window opened.
2. be surfing the web. The pop-up alert will not appear if you are using offline programs such as Word
or Excel.
3. set your browser to allow pop-ups from www.jacksperks.com.
